Recommended Posts

If you work for british airways and have been on strike this week, next time you see a soldier who's returned from Afghanistan make sure you tell them bout your awful workin conditions, poor uniform and low pay!! Let me know how you get on........ :wallbash::wallbash:

Yep and being a soldier it's part of their job to be shot at, blown up, bombed, gassed, etc etc etc theres no whinging about that surely??? They volunteer to be in the armed forces!!! Yep they do a fantastic job but so do cabin crew, how would you get around the world in a few hours without them to look after things onboard?? If they are not happy with changes to their working T and C and job losses and are in the union then why shouldn't they strike. they are standing up for their rights. It's not like the armed forces can strike because someone shot at them :wallbash:

They knew what they was going in for when they signed up,nobody forced them to join up did they.Think about the poor feckers in WW1 AND WW2 they HAD to sign up they had no choice and when they came back they did not put claims in for their injuries, they just got on with their lifes the best they could.

I say good luck to the british airways staff for having balls to stand up for themselves, maybe the rest of the country should take heed and do the same then maybe this once great and pleasant land, which the people fought for in the great wars, would be a better place to live.

I don't think (know) anyone is having a pop at our boys abroad here. Its just that you cannot draw parallels like that mate. Yes I believe they are gettin a raw deal out there. But I also think that some folk at home are getting one too.....There is no comparison though.

Its about time that more workers starte shouting about it..............That doesn't preclude the armed forces either.

Theres always somebody worse of than yourself,in every sitation you could find yourself in, so when you encounter a problem you should just accept it and do nothing about it? What a stupid attatuide to take that is.

Good luck to BA crew than stand up and be counted and what dirty scum those who choose not to strike with and support their workmates, but im sure the will willingly accept any benefits gain by those who had the balls to strike. They are the ones who should hang their heads in shame. Its becuase of spineless b*****ds this country has fell apart.

the problem with the BA strike is they cant see there on a hiding to nothing the more they strike the more it cost BA so the number crunchers then start looking at cost saving less planes, less safety and less cabin crew lot of redundancys and to take it all the way no more BA sold to virgin for a nominal fee £1

this could be new labours version of the miners strike
