Neilston Working Dog Association (NWDA) are pleased to anounce details of their annual Lurcher & Terrier Show, May 9th 2010, This year is special!! because the top terrier at Neilston this year will win an all expenses trip to Ireland in particepation with The Great Game Fairs of Ireland to take part in "THE FIVE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL TERRIER CHAMPIONSHIP" As in every year we own a debt of gratitude tooGilbertson & Page (dog food manufactures) and their Area Manager Mrs Joan Hutchinson who have been the main sponsors of our show’s since its creation. Further great news for this year is that we have secured another major sponsor in the shape of DD Timber Products specialists in construction of bespoke kennels and run’s, terrier and ferret box’s DD Timber Products will be attending "THE NWDA SHOW this year!

 

Mr John Huberry of DD timber products has donated a handmade terrier box with brass fittings for the champion terrier an NWDA show as well as a magnificent bronze trophy depicting two lurchers and a hare for the winner of champion lurcher.â€

 

The format is that Terriers can qualify for the final at Birr Castle, ROI and the title of the Five Nations International Champion Terrier at qualifying shows in England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland (Shanes Castle), and the Republic of Ireland (Birr Castle) for the final to be judged at Birr Castle on Sunday 29th August 2010. The final will be judged by a three judge system

 

Owners can qualify their dogs at any of the following shows:

 

Scotland

 

Neilston Working Dog Association show held May 9th 2010

 

Wales

 

The Welsh qualifying event will be held at Chirk

show, run by North Wales Lurcher and Terrier club on

Sunday 9th May 2010.

 

England

 

The Yorkshire Game Fair May 30th and 31st 2010

 

Earth Dog Running Dog Finals

 

8th August 2010

 

Northern Ireland

 

All Ireland Terrier & Lurcher Championships, Shanes

Castle 27th June 2010

 

ROI

 

The ROI Terrier & Lurcher Championships Birr Castle

29th August 2010

Ps: These! hopefully will be well attended show's this year? There is nowhere else that you can qualify and win a trip to Ireland enjoy a great Game Fair and represent your country with your terrier at an international event and all expense's paid There's been a lot of work put in, but I'm extremely confident This will be brilliant!!

The Campsie Working Terrier Club will be holding their annual show on the first Saturday in June(June 5th).The show is held in conjunction with the Campsie Agricultural Show,and is held at Hungreyside Farm,Torrance,Just north of Glasgow.There is plenty to do for the wife and kids so bring them along.Everyone is welcome.Mr Brian Nuttall has kindly agreed to judge the show this year.All the ussual rosettes,trophies and prize money are up and we will be holding a raffle as ussual.All donations of raffle prizes are much apreciated.A kind thanks to all who attended last year and thanks to all who helped out and donated trophies and prizes.Hope to see all the ussuals and hopefully a few more new faces.Atb clachan.Qualifiers.Pm for details.

does anybody no when there is any shows coming up in scotland thaks swandog ;)

First one will be cardross game fair mate at the lake of montieth think it the first wkend in may. try google search.

 

 

Heard that there is no Terrier show at this event. Just Terrier racing on the Saturday and Sunday. Think the competition from Neilson Terrier Show was to much for them BASC website confirms only family dog show on the Saturday. Save your money and come to Neilson and support the real working Terrier lads.

It would be good if they had 4 sections for the shows in this section eg all shows in scotland in one collum and same for england,wales and ireland. It would save alot of time looking through all the back pages.

Scottish Working Terrier club open show at East Kilbride showground 31st July 1 pm, contact me by pm Qalifier for most of the big championship shows. :toast:

 

will this be run in conjunction with the agricultural show again this year?

Just heard no champion of champion at Glamis this year.

 

i had a plummer there last year. it was the only one. so i might be in with a shout this year :clapper: plus a few of the local farmers owe me a pint or two. its a win win situation .i'll be there. allways a good day out the swtc show. i think ek is a better venue than bellahouston park. a good day for the whole family and cheap as chips. :thumbs:

Went to the cardross game fair last yr on the sat and the neilson terrir show on the sundaywith my good friend joe ... you might know him he breeds sporting lucus terriers.
