All you are doing is making the sport more of a target, something that we do not need. : Edited March 29, 2010 by 2GOOD Quote Link to post

wexford Pa 84
Theres absolutely NO evidence to suggest that the deer was caught by dogs nor does it give evidence of what time of the year the pics were taking.. That could of easily been shot in the stalking season... Its a load of anti propaganda aka BULLSHIT,,, no more no less!!!! ...... Pa 1 Quote Link to post

Born Hunter 17,783
Of course its all bollocks, however is it really surprising lurcher and terrier work is in the public eye again??? Only yesterday while walking my dog with a freind and his pup we saw 4 people in white trackys running across local fields with a brace of lurchers with not a care in the world as bold as brass, initially i was quite pleased to see them out doing abit but their attitude just wasnt right to me, slipping both the dogs on hares practically kicked up. But what pissed me off was that ive noticed alot of dead hares kicking about recently round the edges of these fields, some in dikes, some in bottom of hedges etc and with people going around coursing without permission as blatantly as this, its coursing thats going to get blamed for all the dead hares regardless of weather they are dumping them or not! And more importantly its on my fecking doorstep so whos gonna be feeling the heat for it?? Is it any coincidence almost any time i walk my lurcher down the country roads plod drives by?? Before i get my throat ripped out, i havent a problem with lads enjoying a bit of sport and wild meat with or without 'full' permission, but for gods sake keep ya heads down and have a bit of respect for quarry and land! I do, and if everyone else did, keepers and landowners wouldnt feel so threatened by the coursing community. A few bad apples have caused this bad and highly exagerated media we are getting. FTB it cant be or get any worse than about 20 years ago ,then you had people that turnd poacher to keeper ,special security firms as well that only dealt with poaching ,they knew what it was all about ,and the news and press was full of worse than this spark in the pan ,take it from one who knows ,your crying over feck all .
