ferretville 69
Hi lads, Yesterday decided to give the AAs 410 its first run out now that the ferreting is finished and the weather has picked up. It was bright enough but blustery with the wind swirling from time to time then settling . Had a quick wander around the farm and decided that due to lack of cover that a good sniping spot was needed and due patience required. Found a nice spot looking down a track were i know buggsy likes havin gorse as cover and grass aplenty to much on. This is a pic looking down Must of been lying in wait for 30 minutes with the wind gusting then dying down and sun hiding behind the clouds. Then the first wabbit of the day popped out from the gorse to do sum dinner lol. Left him for 5 to settle and see if any others would care to join him. Apparently not so thought right you little bugger time for sum lead . The bugger kept on moving and would not stay still and was sitting at about 35 yards . Everytime i was just about to squeeze the trigger with cross hairs on his head he would move . Now normally i allways go for a clean head shot but this bugger was pissing me off now so i decided to take a heart shot on and boy did he drop So with the 410s first kill of the season i was in buoyant mood and did`nt have to wait to long before number 2 popped out . Wind changed direction and was blowing behind me directly down to bugs and i thought shite but he never moved . Instead sat up with that alert look but not for long when a accupel smashed straight into his noggin . Had to wait a bit for number 3 to arrive on the seen . Let it settle and waited for it to present a suitable head shot and duely it abliched . Thwack another accupel hits the spot and number 3 lay flat on his back . Wind was getting stronger so happy with me bag on first outing back out with pee shooter decided to call it a day and go feed the ferts with sum much needed rabbit. Its amazing how quick your winter stock go`s down. Pics looking up to were i was sniping by the gate. End of day shot 3 healthy rabbits pleased to be back out and keeping the posts rolling Yours in sport FV 1 Quote Link to post
JackReid 35
Good read mate and nice sniping spot! Its been a long old winter so no wnder the food went quick for the ferrets. Rabbits are just beginning to rear their fluffy heads again my way so hopefully get myself some soon. All the best Jack. p.s Did you have to take into account the slant in your shot? Or was it not an intense incline enough? 3 Quote Link to post

Phantom 631
Excellent work Buddy Nice piece of land that, I was suprised you chose the gate as it was against the skyline from bug's viewpoint and every time you moved, you would have been fairly obvious to ol'e bugs. Just goes to show that there are NO hard and fast rules at all in this game doesn't it I love my Sniping, thats how I got the nickname in my Sig Well done again both on the shooting and the write up I did enjoy that Phantom Edited March 28, 2010 by Phantom Quote Link to post

Propper job mate. ATB. Bill. Its a real nice place to shoot in summer hard at times but worth the effort. It looks rabbity as and dont get me wrong there are rabbits there but not cfrazy amounts. I tend to give it the once over with the ferts in the winter then leave it for summer sport Quote Link to post
