Light Force fuse issues

Has anyone has more fuse issues than typical with the 6mil LF (170 I think) ? As in 3 plus fuses per night? Doesn't matter what vehicle we are using, weather, temperature etc.

hmmm seems that its most likely not a problem with the fuse itself mate but it sounds like its shorting somwhere, most probably in the handle itself with the cheap crappy connector.

check the cable from the in-car adaptor through to the handle mate its gotta be shorting somwhere

a mates been having the same problem with his , the last time he had driven a fair way and ended up having to cut his night short

the same happened with mine, and the wires snapped but all ya do is put big blobs of solder on the connector and then its fine

dont know how lightforce get away with it with trading standards great lamp when they work but cheaply put together

my lamp done that i just cut the fuse bit off and connect the lamp straight to the batteries its easier atb Top Lamper

Mine done this alot- fuses in car, fuse on portable battery. I changed the plug,fixed some connections, pulled it apart and rewired the whole fricken lot from scratch. Still done it. How- I dont know??

6 fuses 5 minutes last week Smashed the lot and bought another.

 

Lightforce service is good if you have a drama send it back. I didnt as I messed with it when I was hunting along way form town and needed it, didnt think they'd touch it as it was- though the bloke there said he would still have a look.

 

If I have hassle with this one it will keep going back at their cost.

DROVE 50MILES IN OCT, THEN LAMP JUST WENT OUT & I HAD NO SPARE FUSE. TOOK ME 7 FUSES TO FIND THAT THE WIRES WERE SOLDERED A BIT 2 CLOSE 2GETHER AT THE BASE OF THE CIGAR SOCKET HOLDER & MOVEMENT WAS CAUSING THEM 2 TOUCH & SHORT.HAD 2 INSULATE BETWEEN THE WIRES 2 STOP THEM TOUCHING.

I'm helping tiff with that dam light and i wanted to know when u take the lamp apart do u take out the revit to get to the wires or how do u get to those wires if any one could help that would be great thanks

Happened to me and brought it back to the shop and they fixed it...its all in the head of the lamp..if you still have the receipt they should fix it or give ya a new one

shipping back is about $25 including VAT and we'd already had to repair the cord so not much use in that

i had to re wire mine totally, just connected it from the bulb, to switch then straight to the battery... works for me, and alot better than those fiddly lighter sockets that keep coming loose

mine to had to ree wire the full thing for money wee pay they are shite abt ayr 10
