niall_b73 41
four of us hired a boat on lough erne in search of a few pike today and fished from 10am till 4pm. we went from the manor house marina as far as the lakeland fourm and back. not as much as a bite the whole journey. i can safely say i wont be hiring a boat from there again. tho loking on the bright side of things i finally got to try out 1 of my new fishfinders, the garmin ff140. it is quite a handy machine for telling the depth and the shapr of the bottom tho i have to say for all of the few fish that did show up it would make you wonder why we bother trying to catch the fish at all. most the water we trawlled had very few fish in it, a very odd time we would hit into a shoal of something but they were few and far between. you would think a big water like lough erne would hold large shoals of fish. well anyway roll on next week and gonna hire the usual boat and stick to the water we usually fish. tight lines, niall_b73 Quote Link to post
