Recommended Posts

Went out with a good mate today whos russel dog has had 11 above ground since christmas! Alot of the digging lads i know have struggled with half that amount.. Just wondered if anyone one else has had as much luck? We had another today and one dug to with cubs that was left alone.

I took a few pics of the russels after, not the best pics but i was proper impressed..

i dont understand??? tell me mate how the hells it catching them??? unusual.......

Just bushing mate, not saying he normally catches them on his own as hes worked with 1 or 2 more terriers. But he is the main finder and normally catches them in thick cover!

11 sounds an awful lot for even a few Russell types.

My big lump of a Bedlington (18" and 27 lb ) is mad for them and in almost 4 years has managed to hold on to 2 in the thorns. Full grown ones mind.

Storm mate! that sounds a great dog good fun to, the first terrier i ever saw work cought foxes above ground, he was a very small stumpy legged russtle called patch with a great big nut, he used to get hold of them in thick cover quite often. :clapper:
