Getting weight on my bitch?

Recommended Posts

Just wondered if anyone knew anything i could feed my dog to bang some weight on her. She's a saluki/greyhound x whippet and is only 22 inch. she is a very frail build. and i just wondered if there was anything good i could feed her to get some weight on her. She's been wormed so it's nothing to do with that. She's also very picky with her food and thats the main reason she's so thin.

Thank's Sambo123

my greyhound/deerhound x saluki bitch was fussy as hell. and ive had hell of a job trying to put wieght back on her. seems to come of a lot easyer than it is to put it on her.try starving her once a week this seems to stop mine from being fussy and also pick up any uneaten food after she has eaten and walked away. also add more animal fat eg butchers of cuts or chicken and veg oil to her food or try typing in to google satin balls these work realy well.but some dogs never seem to put on any wieght its just the way they are.

Put her on to skinners duck and rice or salmon and rice a bit more expensive but worth it they keep weight on easily with it and my dogs are in great condition on this.My male is half saluki and had trouble keeping weight on and getting it on in the first place and skinners worked a treat duck is around £21.99 for 15 kg and salmon is about £25.99 theres plenty of fats and oils in there as well and you dont seem to feed as much it works out fairly economical in the end
