SarahCreighton 0
I own and adore a pointer whippet cross - she is softer in temperament and smaller size (males were large and heavy though) . her parents regularly hunted deer - took one down on the property the day I picked her up. She will point to anything in the bush - also very fast and can catch field rabbits. has stamina for all day work, but will sleep if no job to do. markings are black and white roan/white pattern. She is like a pointer at play and a whippet at home - a sweetheart who will rest all day like a good whippet should when not running - very intelligent and will look for any toy I hide if I ask her to find. Also have a red merle lurcher/shepherd - also an excellent dog with water rescue instincts - they are both very strong swimmers and will water retrieve until exhaustion if I don't make them stop. coney clucky 93
just my views but think this cross is not worth a toss as a true running lurcher the ones ive seen hunt up to fck and aint got any bottle this is going to anger pointer cross runners but why the fck do people mess with this cross when theirs plenty tried and tested breeds to cross with the greyhounds to make up a decent lurcher a pointer is what it says to point out quarry the breed was never bred to chase down quarry and is very nose led Quote Link to post
