I've posted about this before. Theres a lot of pet dogs that take deer particularly roe. These deer all get left where they're taken and lurchermen get the blame. I've read posts by lads who run deer and don't even intend trying to get the game home feeling its too hot. I don't deny this does happen but i still feel that the majority of dog caught deer found were taken unintentionally,by dogs that are kept as pets (admittedly often rescued running dogs)

 

Aye your right, i know of a pet greyhound (used to anyway) that pulls down deer like there goin out of fashion, and the owner thinks nothing of leaving them where they lie (hypocritical bitch).

As per usual its us who get it in the neck though.

I was photographed a couple of weeks back while i was exercising the dog near my house. There was a piece in a local paper not long before about deer poaching and a couple of days before that there was a photo in another local paper of some deer taken by a reader near to where i was with the dog. The fella with the camera must have put 2and2 together and come up with 5 because he stood there for a while photographing me, all i was doing was throwing a ball for the dog , just because its a lurcher i must be up to no good. As far as the deer go ive been watching them for a couple of years without having a go for them but because of the shit in the paper the bloke must have thought i was one of them ruthless barbaric deer poachers with a specially bred killer dog. Most people round here are ok though , there a plenty of lads with dogs near me and i dont often hear of them getting any hassle

 

What breeding is it, maybe some lads will more attention than others with bully bred dogs,,

im very fortunate around my way as the police dont hassle me when im out as long as i dont leave my motor on th side of the road!! other wise they will pull up and check it out!! but this is more to do with terrorism as my ground is mainly around gatwick airport!! im often under the flight path of planes coming into land( there literally a couple hundred feet above my head and noisey as feck) and i was asked very early on to switch off the lamp as one goes over!! not sure quite what diffreance it makes but i abide by this to stop any hassle!there are some landowners who dont like the fact i cross there ground on public footpaths to get to some of my fields and they tried making stupid claims about me out at night shooting in there fields!! allegations that were proved false when i got back to my motor were the police were waiting!! armed i might add !! they did there search and could clearly see i was only working my lurcher!! i find the officers around those lanes based at gatwick no problem!! they visit some of my permissions owners regularly to see if anything untowards has been going on in the area( basically has anyone been pointing anything at the planes lol ) and they know of me through those landowners!! i do know they are on the lookout for some w*nkers who have been driving the fields and shooting foxs and deer often ruining the fields!! they did ask if i came across them to contact them!!! but ive got my own personal agenda with these fellas they took somthing that belongs to a friend thats west sussex Gatwick way

HELLO THERE is anybody else having problems whilst out exersising there working dogs? I cant believe just how fast the police arrive when a dogooder fones up saying that theyve seen somebody hunting with dogs even when you are in the middle of knowhere they seem to find ya in force not just 1 car 3 or 4 cars surrounding the area when did we become enemy no1 think our council tax cud be better spent my area is south yorkshire If you send a reply will you put the area your from thanks.KEEP HUNTING FUK THE BAN.

IVE BEEN APPROACHED BY PEOPLE ASKING ME 2 KEEP MY DOGS ON THE LEASH SO THEY DONT CHASE THE CATS OR FOXES.. THE ROAD THAT IS BESIDE MY ESTATE LEADS 2 A COUNTRY ROAD & THE CARS COME UP IT LIKE ITS THE [bANNED TEXT], SO I POINT OUT THAT LETTING MY DOGS RUN FREE WOULD BE A BIT DANGEROUS, BUT THERES NO TELLING SOME PEOPLE & I END UP TELLING THEM WHERE 2 GO (or words 2that effect). I TEND 2 JUST HEAD DOWN THE SAME COUNTRY ROAD, WHERE THEY DONT GO WITH THEIR LHASA APSO,s ETC AS ITS 2 ROUGH A WALK & MUDDY FOR THEM.
