Time for another Thatcher?

Recommended Posts

This could get interesting lol.

It wouldn't take much to beat what we've got about at the minute, and no one since Maggie has really been able to fill her role properly IMO. They've all been limp wristed wankers and lying deviant ones at that.

We need someone who really is going to be a LEADER, someone with a bit of passion for the nation and it's people.

How can you say she had a passion fot the nation and is people, from 1978 to 1983 manufacturing dropped 30% and unemloyment reached 3.6 million

http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/f32a3392-df7a-11de-98ca-00144feab49a.html

The importance of manufacturing to the economy declined more rapidly under Labour administrations since 1997 than it did during the Margaret Thatcher era, according to a Financial Times study.

The big winners in the same period were bankers, estate agents and public sector workers, whose sectors’ share of output increased under the Labour governments of Tony Blair, the former prime minister, and Gordon Brown, his successor. The findings about the state of the economy were uncovered during a study of data held by the Office for National Statistics.

Manufacturing accounted for more than 20 per cent of the economy in 1997, when Labour came to power critical of the country having too narrow an industrial base. But by 2007, that share had declined to 12.4 per cent.

Although the recession of the early 1980s dealt a permanent blow to the industrial heartlands, the relative devastation of manufacturing during the past 12 years has been almost three times faster.

Manufacturing also bore the brunt of output losses in the most recent recession, sending its share of the economy lower, to a little over 11 per cent.

The near halving of the importance of manufacturing to the economy over 12 years is in stark contrast to the reduction from 25.8 per cent to 22.5 per cent of output that occurred under the Conservative governments of the now Lady Thatcher.

Labour ministers still cite the 1980s as the period when the economy changed.

Lord Mandelson, the business secretary, told the FT last week: “In the 1980s and 1990s, we as a country did not do enough to encourage manufacturing and this approach led to colossal economic damageâ€.

I am not sure why but sadly apathy rules these days, perhaps it is because many people have it easy in this day and age? People "feeling wealthy" because their house has gone up in value and they had easy access to cheap and plentiful credit in the form of remortgaging and spending the money as if it was their money they had earned, sort of bought off I suppose you could call it. Same applies to credit cards, loans and over drafts, that is one thing I think the blame for can be laid on Thatcher, however it doesn't excuse the current lot for betraying the party heritage and core vote by continuing along the same socially destructive route Thatcher steered the UK onto in the early 1980's.

Also increasing numbers of people appear to me to be more interested in what some talentless celebrity may or may not have done and other generally pointless distractions in the grand scheme of things. I do think however over the next 5-10 years people will get increasingly fed up with being screwed over by big business, politicians and the wealthy elite. Perhaps we will see a return to protesting against the corrupt lib/lab/con regime and a return towards what are now looked on as old fashioned values away from modern consumerism and celebrity whoring on a grand scale. We are seeing the industrial action spreading as the working man / woman fights to prevent the crumbs that fall their way off their masters table being reduced further.

We all seem to be overlooking the fact that westminster now only rubber stamps directives from Europe. A major u turn on integration

would be needed, before ANYONE, no matter how strong their personality, could get us back on track.

Therefore as Topper says, it falls on us, the people to take the reins.

Another Maggie ?

Most people would kak their pant's if one came along.

She and her Government had the forsight to see that we are no longer the Workshop of the World and started to adjust our economic out put accordingly.

Any of those left wing, loony f*ck witts who dissagree then go out and buy British, not made in China, Pakistan, India or Taiwan. We've been overtaken in pretty much every industry because we have priced our selves out of the market, made it virtually impossible for anyone to invest here because of stupid employment laws, taxation and the cost of living. The things that gave us an advantage versus Europe in the '80's.

Disagree ?

For the money you can employ a knuckle dragging, ill mannered, piss head from Britain you can employ degree level graduates looking for a better live from just about anywhere on the planet. Where you going to look if it's your business ?

The other great thing about Maggie and her successors, they ran the Country like a business, not a f'cking charity.

Now for those other c*nts :diablo:

What have these b'stards done with all the wealth they have been left ? pissed it up the wall.

Blair ? ............. what a c*nt he is and everything he stands for, wanker.

He and his cronies have broken this once prosperous Country, smashed it to pieces and sold it off for their own pensions.

As has been said, we are the most spied on Nation since East Germany, we have Council grasses every where.

Your home is not your own.

You cannot say, Nigger, Paki, Chink.

You cannot pick you own f'ckin nose whilst driving because you are not in control of a vehicle.

Your kid has to put up with the local fuk witt at school 'cos the fuk witt can't be expelled.

Your Christian faith is looked down upon.

I could go on and on and on.

Look back at Maggie with pride, at least she had the bottle to sort the place out, if only until these morons got voted in by an age group who knew no better,

God prey they know now

TRUE TRUE TRUE.

So who is going to be then?

David Cameron? Gordon Brown? Nick Clegg? or, (and heres the kick in the balls!) Nick Griffen?!

Lets be honest here. The only way to sort this out is .............................FIGHT!

Cut the population down, abandon ridiculous policy and encourage self sufficiency on a local and national level.

Dosser I know your a "revolutionary" but your thinking isn't revolutionary its been around for ever and therefore not new. It does however hold water occasionally.........I also think you and Topper and possibly Donk are one and the same!

Definatly need to cut the freeloaders out of our society, foreign and domestic.

One thing that doesnt hold water is people being long term unenployed and yet Labour say immigrants are filling jobs our people wont do  Now im all for helping genuine people who get made redundant ect,but why can some layabouts stay on benefits while foreign workers come in and get jobs?

This countries a joke,it could be put right but it would have to be very drastic action, none of the main parties have the bottle imo.

If some of the layabouts did get off their asses then there would be no need for the imigrants.

Unfortunately why would anyone go out to work for less than they get on benefit?

Cut benefit to a level where it is more advantages to get a job. They'd soon be out looking for a job if they couldn'y pay their sky subscription put petrol in their Chavmobile and buy their "charlie".
