john robbo 30
Just bought some RWS factory for the rem mag. Getting lazy these days cant be arsed to hand load for this rifle as dont use it often and wanted some pig and large deer shells. 162gr cone points..... price on label £52 for 20 going cheap paid £30 a box got 1 box to try. no point buying the other 4 boxes if my gun dont like em Quote Link to post

So they put the other boxes to one side, while i can go get them. The hope I have is they will be great on the bigger deer good on boar and because they are a "big game" bullet may be a little on the hard side and not expand to quickly on roe so hopefully a good all round bullet for the rem mag. Will keep you all informed though if they were £52 a box I would continue to hand load for it. Quote Link to post

RWS are expensive but so is any ammo now i see Federal 243 at £27 for 20. The remmy mag you have not sure on cal but seen the 7mmrum & 300 rum with hard bullets do both no damage & basically gralloch the deer for you as they seem to have quite a vacum to them on the exit & seen them pull the pluk/gralloch out the hole in the ribs. My mates 308 with 150g homeloads was bad for this too in the load we used near every beast had the stomach half out the exit like a greyish balloon. Quote Link to post

john robbo 30
I must say I am very impressed with this ammo. Tried it tonight on the shoot and with a strong back wind which was buffeting me I shot an inch group in the bull at 200 yards, Not bad as she's shooting just 2cm's high at 100. Thats quite flat for a 162gr. Cant wait to get at the fallow. Quote Link to post
