stormrider8 59
Not sure if i should be posting this in this section or not? But its nearly that time of year that i will be stocking the freezers up with mackerel again, it has always been part of my dogs diet but i was wondering if anyone knows if it would be better fed raw or cooked? I have always boiled it for a short time, taken the tail and spine out and then just give them all the rest.. Can they be fed raw or would the bones be a problem? Cheers chris

pointer 543
i often feed mine mackeral and any flounder and whitey that are a bit small for me to eat but what are too deep hooked to return.also fed them ling, cod, pollack, pouting and trout. mine are sometimes a bit fussy over raw fish so i just cut them up and pour gravy over it or mix with tripe or chicken. stormrider8 59
Cheers lads. What about the bones though? when i boil the fish the bones tend to become much softer and dont cause any problems..
