Night Hunter 109
Hi guys,I have just tried to set up a petition against manditory testing of scottish deer stalkers and am waiting to see if the powers that be at no.10 accept it as a valid petition . The petition reads: We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to Reject proposals to enforce manditory testing for scottish deerstalkers the enforcement of manditory testing proposed in the envioment bill would be both unfair and racist against scottish stalkers we feel that the current legislation where voluntary testing or mentoring of newcomers to this activity is sufficient and has proved so over the years, manditory testing will force many recreational stalkers to give up this activity and will cause an explosion of deer numbers around certain areas that are currently being controlled by these recreational stalkers this will increase the risk of road accidents and fatalities involving deer in these areas. Thank you for submitting your petition. Edited March 25, 2010 by Night Hunter Quote Link to post

Born Hunter 17,832
These petitions are almost always pointless, the government couldnt give two tosses about what we think or want. It just makes us beleive we have a say. BUT i suppose we gotta try to do somthing... Quote Link to post

wireviz 8
Your petition should have went to holyrood Night Hunter but its nice to see people trying .What i might suggest is for your selves in Fife and other areas to form your selves into a Deer Group as the new legislation states that the managing of deer will be done by localised groups ,BUT WERE THERE ARE NONE A PANNEL SET UP BY THE DCS WILL DECIDE this is to be time limited. But the the DCS have now been in there flag ship (mugdock park) area for 5 years and have no sign of leaving again at cost to the tax payer Quote Link to post

I only shoot what I can fit in my own freezer but I do wonder if all these DCS registered stalkers are paying tax on thier earnings from deer that they are selling to the game dealers perhaps an investigation is required,(may be my next petition ) Maybe this be one of the areas the chancellor was refering to yesterday in the buget. Some of the stalkers who will be put out of work should set up a team to investigate wheather or not members of DCS and the certificate holders are complying with the rules and regulations that DCS are trying to endorse because from what I have seen so far from various DCS1 certificate holders leaves allot to be desired. But then again where would it stop.In my line of work I get Quality controlled by the Quality control manager who in turn gets quality controlled by an independent authority. Why do we not set up this independent authority and expose the DCS for what they are........ Edited March 25, 2010 by Night Hunter Quote Link to post
Hoolit 2
I cant see BASC doing anything . Look at the tail docking situation yes in Irland yes in England yes in Wales NO in Scotland. We have a parliament that wont listen to the people on the ground they would rather spend thousands of pounds on some reaserch company that cant tell its arse from its elbow. In Scotland we have be seen to do what the majority potential of voters want and not whats right . The useless shower of shite we laughing call the Scottish goverment will drive shooting sports out of the hands of the ordinary working person and it will once again be a sport for the wealthy classes and paying visiters to this once proud nation. Christ I think I will stand at the next election after that rant pS who carried out the reaserch on tail docking for the Scottish Parliament BRISTOL UNIVERSITY. Quote Link to post
