jimmy100 48
This thread reminds me of a piece in darcy's Running Dog Addiction, i think its called Nell. Good read and shows the lurcherman/keeper relationship and how a good lurcher with an owner with the right attitude can convert even the most anti lurcher keeper. thanks mate and cheers to everyone else for replying!! Makes me glad we don't have that system in place here, I wander over the fence the odd time but the farmers don't care as long as there is no livestock in the field, and we don't have many sheep arund here anyway. whippet 99 2,613
got invited by a mate to go ferreting on his permission, on arrival the farmer was there. so i let the running dogs out and could see straight away he didnt like it. then he started ranting on about deer and how he has a professional stalker come down. it amazed me how quickly he assumed that the dogs will be killing his deer. havent been invited since. but the majority of farmers i know dont mind the dogs and i make sure they have a nice bottle at christmas Quote Link to post
