andyz 30
Another way to resize your pics, for example if you want to email them without uploading them etc. You need a PC running some variant of Windows. Double click the photo, this should open the photo in Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. Press the Control key and 'E' together, this will open the photo in MS Paint. Press the Control key and 'W' together, this will open 'Stretch and Skew'. To reduce the photo reduce the Horizontal and Vertical percentages in the Stretch section EG 50 and 50. Select 'File' and 'Save As', name your new file (this will also keep the original)! This will reduce the image size and also the physical size of the photo. It sounds like a bit of a pain, but second nature after a few attempts!!! Good luck, hopefully this will help as it's fairly quick and also your images will take less time to upload! Phantom 631
What a load of faffing about!!! I use PSP for image enhancement (similar to Photoshop, in fact I believe Photoshop incorporated or took over PSP) But the easiest way to do it is upload to either PhotoBucket as mentioned earlier (or Photofucket as they are known in some circles). I personally use www.tinypic.com all I need to do is upload, tell it what the image is to be used for, email, message boards, or screen size (simply click on the dropdown menu to choose) then copy the resultant code and past it into your post which is usefull as you can then post the same pic code to multiple sources if you use more than one board It also gives you the HTML code if you wwant to incorporate it into your own websites but dont have enough hosting space for larger images. Or make sure your using an old crappy camera (640x480) or small image size on a good one and upload directly to here. Phantom Edited March 25, 2010 by Phantom Quote Link to post
