somebody tell me how you get a digging dog that won't fail

no body can say they have the perfect method and breeding" that wil not fail".

 

good breeding is the key and sensible entering will maximise the potential in the dog irrespective of breed or type.

Not even dogs from the top known bloodlines are guaranteed to be good digging dogs. It definitely helps, but some just dont make the grade.

The most popular digging dog is probably the patterdale/fell terrier.

All dogs will fail if worked poorly as in poorly by the owner.there's plenty of well bred good honest workers out there just got to know where to look.

a good experienced owner is a good start for any young dog,lots of dogs ruined by folk just avin a dabble in terriers who havent got a clue ,crap owners crap dogs !!

no matter what the breeding you cant gaurantee all the pups in a litter will make the grade.

i don't think is got much to do with the breeding. its the way they are entered.that's what iv found.not being in the game that long.
