Repairing my grass

Recommended Posts

Some of my grass has become thin and patchy and quite cut-up, my son is walking now and with summer on it's way what is the best and correct way to go about repairing it, is it just a case of get some grass seeds down and let nature take it's course etc? Also people do walk over the grass so i'd have to keep that to a minimum, I would like it to be quite thick so it holds it's own, any advice is apprciated

Cheers

If your missus is gonna do what mine did and gets loads of sand pit, paddling pool stuff and then forget to take it off the grass save yourself the effort for a while ;)

You could treat it with moss killer then bang aload of seed down for a cheap quick fix.

to get a thick lawn, roll it regular, spike it often, use weed and feed on the lawn x4 a year, in the summer cut arond x3 a week good luck.

 Good advice Blackpack, if your gonna re-seed and it's gonna be used for heavy traffic use a seed type with plenty of Rye.
