Put it in a gun bag with a padlock. Carry your permission slip and tell him to f**k off next time.

from what im aware of this you can carry your air gun to and from your permision aslong it is unloaded and secure in a sling . and the pellets are stored safely on you as ive been harrased by pc plod a few times when younger carrying my rifle to and from my permision just up the road from me. i always had a permision slip and the owners number on it. after afew encounters i phoned the local fire amrs officere up and he cleared it up for me. just give your local a ring or have a look on basc for the laws on this mate

If you were walking along a public highway common sense should tell you that you should have it out of sighticon_redface.gif !

If you had had a pellet in the breech he could have charged you...and that is a whole different ball game you don't want to play!dirol.gif

LOL........... DON'T tell him to f**k off mate, you'll have em all over you every time you go out if you do. Politely point out its securely covered, unloaded and you are old enough to use one. Then clock his collar number and put in a complaint about him. He's obviously a halfwit, bullyboy. Good luck ;)

As above be polite, dont give attitude!!

In bag and secure with pad lock.

Be careful as plods near me have taken guns off local hunters to check what they are

kicking out and then returned a week or two later. This was probably due to the

two guys giving attitude granted

As long as it is covered in a secure, fastened sleeve. It is recommended that the bolt is removed, it cannot be loaded and your are meant to conceal it from view where possible.

You were not doing anything wrong mate as long as it was covered - he'd no right to stop or caution you! :hmm:

Happened to me before all i can say is lick his ass

Yes Sir, <<<<<things like that and try telling him that you're old enough and know the rules and procedures

my dad dropped me of on the outskirts of the wood that i have permission for... just so happened to be the plod driving past as i got the gun from the boot in the sling and he came up to me was like... what are you doing.... and i said

"Going shooting on land i have permission, Sir."

he was like

"Do you realise that it is an offense to carry a weapon on a public pathway"

to which i answered

"Sir, without trying to offend you, I am within my lawful requirements as the weapon is clearly within a sling and there is no pellet in the breach"

cheeky sod tried getting cocky so i wrung up the basc and i put them on to him

a few minutes later

"Sorry Fella, It was a misunderstanding from my behalf" wallbash.gif

so the dumb police turned around as i clocked his number and i filed a report in his name...

which i have no clue what happened with it but meh'
