For me there was no comparison, Norma 50gn vmax shoot like a tack driver at 100 metres. At 150 they still shoot sub 1 inch and drop very little. This past weekend I shot 1.75 groups at 200. Hope this helps ,I paid 14.95 box of 20. Quote Link to post
willum 89
14 quid for 20 alright for some im paying a few pence shy of 30 quid for 20 silver tips in 50gr 22.250 and cant get the norma v max around here Quote Link to post
Deker 3,478
I have T3 Lite Stainless .223 and T3 Hunter .243, Both have P8 Compacts fitted. They both work well with PRVI, never going to win any world championships but for a relatively, very innexpensive round, they can both easily do 1" if I do my part. Having said that Mr L has made a few home brews over the months for me and I think it was one batch of .243 that were virtually in the same hole!! Quote Link to post
willum 89
well if there is any 22/250 bofs out there that would like to make and send me some home brew rounds to try feel free Quote Link to post
jamie g 17
well if there is any 22/250 bofs out there that would like to make and send me some home brew rounds to try feel free get yourself some reloading kit some powder, dies, bullet heads and primers and your away mate. the silvertips are dear ammo and trust the dear stuff to shoot the best in your rifle. its allways the case when your trying to save some dosh. shame you didnt live closer you could have used my reloading gear Quote Link to post
rowey 1
Try hornadys own brand. I use homeloads 55g v max in the 22/250 and they are great but i've also used hornady factory rounds and they shoot 3/4 inch groups through my T3. Well impressed considering its a factory round. The ones i tried were molys and £19 a box. Edited March 24, 2010 by rowey Quote Link to post
andylad 1
Its a case of trail and error mate as you have to find the round that suits your barrel as they all perform differently.Keep your eye out for a home loading kit as home loads can be made to suit your gun and in my opinion are alot better. As for factory ammo they are all good but again its shoot the 1 that performs best in your rifle. weejohn 3
federal v-shok were by far the best and the 40, 50 and 55gr had the same POI. Quote Link to post
