my bitch broke her toe 4 weeks ago and i have left here up and doen nuting whit her should i leve it much longer before i walk here the toe seems to b fine.

My bitch broke her toe last december, she couldn't run again for 10 weeks. Another 2 weeks no running at least, road walking on a lead will be fine.

My friends dog has just broke a front toe.He has taken it to a greyhound vet who has adviced 6 weeks rest minimum.If after rest the dog is still lame she will remove the toe.

There will be no need to remove the toe after 6 weeks as by then it will have almost healed up, i found that 8 - 10 weeks rest proved to be the best move with my bitch and after that you wouldn't know she had a broken toe. That was an outside toe on her back foot, the previous year she did the same to her front foot middle toe.
