Rabbits thin on the ground

Recommended Posts

Trying to make a living at this pestie game is feckin hard work(well moles and rabbits)have done very little with the dogs since the cold snap as the mole jobs have been non stop , but decided to have this week off as Giro is off work so we thought we would have a week on the rabbits starting with last night.

The rabbits were thin on the ground and i remembered that i had seen mixie on here last time up (about 3 months back) but we walked and picked up the odd rabbit here and there and walked somemore, and the bags gradually got heavier without us realy noticing, Ruby as usual ran great, but Star lived up to her name and ran like one last night and the dogs were lucky if they missed 2 each all night.

We had started at oneish and it was just before five when we packed in as my new fangled battery had given up the ghost(i wouldnt recomend it to anyone who does a half decent shift, they dont last long enough, but ill try it with a 50 watt bulb and see how i get on)so we headed back to the van and collected in, i was surprised to count this many at the end, maybe having the light battery fooled me a bit,but it was great to get back to what i love doing lamping and taking the pish out of Gyro lol,(well i have to do something his dogs better than mine) you just cant beat it, all the best Nellie.

over 130 rabbits off that ground since Sunday, terrible aint it, just think about it , it makes you sick, i know it does me, its shocking, i could hardly bring myself to take the pound a rabbit off the game dealer, and as for him begging for more, well he should be jailed for life hes no better than a kiddy fiddler.
