BBHLFC 0
as long as its warm ...i had mine outside with the bitch.trouble is when you get a gap and the wind whistles through.you dont say how old they are.or if its just one, keep em well fed and summat to snuggle up in. try get a heat lamp to aim down on them and try get the bed just up off the floor. atb B Quote Link to post

skycat 6,173
Stone sheds are very cold: keeping the cold in in the winter and the sun out in the summer: put a wooden box about the size of a tumble dryer with a lid and pop hole in one side in a corner of the shed: raise it off the floor a couple of inches: put loads of clean straw inside the box and your pup should be warm and snug. I always put the pop hole off centre so the dog has a corner out of draughts to nest into. No dog, let alone a pup, does well in a cold bed. Quote Link to post
lawrence 657
sound advice as always from skycat. forget the rubbish that keeping pups in the cold will make them hardier when older. Quote Link to post
kill um with crisps 7
My one lived in a shed from birth to 6 weeks of age when i collected him. He was in a sectioned off corner of the shed with plenty of straw to bed down in, a mother not far away and a heatlamp over the top of him. He and his brothers and sisters all survived and flourished quite happily with that set up. Quote Link to post
