I don’t know where that thread went after I put my bit above buddy, but what you said I was meaning with my point too mate.

 

The hard way being learning on a springer and learning to shoot correctly before taking your new skill over to a PCP.

 

If you go straight to a PCP you will bag plenty of vermin I think but can you really shoot a recoiling rifle?

 

Regarding my DVDs pal, The vermin on them were shot by my stunt double

but yes totally agree with that si, i have had the lucky fortune to shoot pcp, springers, .22 rimfire, 5.56 nato, .308 and shot guns and taming and learning the recoil of your weopens are the key.... not that you have much taming over a gpmg or minimi

Not been on for a couple of days but cheers all for the replies.

 

A pal of mine came round yesterday with his New Theoben Evo! I'll start a different thread up about this soon but to cut a long story short he had never fired it until he got round here to zero his new scope. the gun felt very grinding from the start while cocking until we got to about the 40th shots and Bang!! I was cocking it at the time and got halfway through the cycle when the gun went off with one hell of a bang, the gun is now jammed in the broken position and locked up totaly, I know we could have taken the stock off for a closer look but it has litteraly only had at the most 40 shots put through it so he is off to Theoben today for a refund, I suspect the cocking lever but we'll see....

 

Can't say I blame him wanting a refund as the safety catch was so stiff you could hardly move it and the stock at the front looked like it was never finished off in the factory plus a few other things, I have taken some pic's and will get them up later, as you can imagine he is well Peeeed off and don't want another one as a replacement...
