New To Fox Calling

Hiya Guys,

 

I am new to fox hunting and could do with a bit of advice on the best fox calls to use.

 

I have read a lot about different calls but I think its always best to get information from people that do it first hand and not from a guy trying to sell a product and make money.

 

Obviously it will always be best to have a variety with you just incase the fox is used to the one that you are using, but can you recommend some good ones that you have used with success in the past.

 

Also, are electronic calls any good, if so can you recommend one?

the new electric ucaller is good because you can put your own calls on it and can be used for crows and magpies aswell and it comes with a remote aswell

a good one which is cheap is the wam caller mate. its not that loud but very relistic sound.

Have a look a the 'Foxpro FX3', I have one, but I bought mine in America when on holiday last year (Tennessee, Cabela's), you can get them here but they are way too expensive (£350.00+).

That said I can't find a better unit, the remote control works to over 300 yards tried and proved, (they say 700 yards 'on the tin' but I can't get that far away from it, and I couldn't

hear it from that far anyway?

Also you can download new calls/sounds from the internet via a USB lead

These are the best practical electronic caller available, !IDEA! take your kids to Disneyland in Orlando and buy one in the BassPro shop on Int'l drive $300 max!!

try downloading some free calls off internet to a mobile phone and play over the speaker. Heard this is quite effective and virtually free!

just keep tryng with your hand mate, i pracise when i am driving, the results can be amazing and very satisfying when you get it right.

 

if you drop or loose your fox call and you don;t kow how to do it your nights lamping is over
