david2363 42
Another pointless thread, posted just to cause an argument. Who gives a flying fvck about a bunch of overpaid prima donnas? Half of the squad are not even really English anyway.
Wild_and_Irish 11
Anyone but england But then it is just a bunch of overpaid pansies running round a field chasing a bag of wind trying to kick it into a big fishing net By the way thebuisiness.....it's cos the celts have a natural dislike towards the english dislike\jealous Dislike of cockiness/bigheads The GAA is where it's at, no-oneover here gives a shit about soccer Thought the Irish would be supporting France. 'soccer'??? You American mate. No Irish, I call it soccer because our version of football is much, much older than your version and it's what we play, and its 100x more popular than soccer here. CorkyJohn 808
It's an interesting subject this, seems the scottish/welsh/irish have a thing against the english similar to how the blacks still hold a grudge against the whites for the slavery they endured even though it was f*****g years ago

JohnGalway 1,043
I won't be supporting anyone. What I will be doing is enjoying the usual tabloid building up, knocking over, and ripping apart and how the loudmouths swallow it all and take it so much to heart. It's only a game lads, and not even a good one at that.
mossyh07 64
Don't follow soccer.. But listenin to soccer followers in the pub..... PRICELESS
david2363 42
It will be the same old story - the Sun and other tabloids will whip the nation into a frenzy of expectation. Then when Brazil/Spain/Argentina or dare I mention it Germany, knock them out, the recriminations will start, and with a vengeance. The same media will go for the jugular - players, Capello, anything to whip the nation once more into a reverse frenzy, this time of finger pointing and punishment. It will almost seem like the back pages of a few weeks previous just didn't exist. Someone tell me I'm wrong.
