A good bull x will work all nite if hes 100% fit.. not 50% not 75% but 100% fit... many folk on here are guilty of never getting the full potential out of there bullx.. just because they look fit doesnt mean that they actually are.. atb stabba

There is no need for bull other than that.

They are not the 'allrounder' they are made out to be.

If your game is a bit of everything, theres pleanty other crosses better suited to the job. (imo)

yet to see a good bull cross were we hunt and were we run last ,their feet get baterd , some havent got the wind or runing sense ,i dont rate them as great deer dogs either ,not when the qaurry can run a bit , and you need good sped stamina andbalance to bring down your qaurry, maybe an eight bull, but for good big feilds and long slip after slip im still waiting to see a good genuine bull with no saluk etc in it do the bizness , there will be one some were ,

pre ban we never used bull crooses , localy and doubt we will use them now as i says saw some dogs with eight in them thta were good dogs but i think the saluk and greyhound made them running dogs bull just gave them abit more jaw ,

it depends on how you run your dog ,if you only want a couple of runs get one but if you want to have some good sport i would nt have one ,i ve been out with quite a few over the years and i dont think there has been a night when running bull crosses that we havent had to come home early ,yes some are very fast and game and do kill quick but they cannot last and you can see them fade very quick ,i think some bull cross owners need to open there eyes as most other crosses will do the same as a bull cross ,

i fully agree about people not geting the dogs 100% fit ,most would not know how to any way ,

this is some thing we are going to find out in the next year or 2 ,a bull bitch we run is realy good she is worked loose and has a brain,she saves her energy ,but because her owner is not out as mutch as he would like to be ,[because he[ WORKS] i hate that word ] ,she has never been 100% fit ,but most i have seen dont last very long when out ,at the moment we are trying a bullx pup,we are brining it up the way we have done with our dogs ,ie,taking it out as soon as it can walk ,this builds up the lungs and heart ,the pup is already catching rabbits ,and has helped out one of the older dogs on 2 ocasions .time will tell ,

well, can only speak for us over here, but a lot of coursing dogs are monsters compared to track dogs, i always fancied the real thing in a cross like that,
