steveS.Yorks 161
It wont matter if its good keen bedlington blood in the pups, the whippet provides the engine and the terrier the drive, shouldnt make much difference? But obviously its better if both parents are tested. Edited March 22, 2010 by steveS.Yorks Quote Link to post

jusar whippets 10
I've got Oakbark in my lines and mine work fine no bother. The dog should do what it needs to do with the right training and seeing game, the pedigree means nothing IMHO Quote Link to post

My whippet is showbred through and through with lots of Oakbark blood (never been shown though) and he's turned out to be a cracking little rabbiting dog. Quote Link to post
ERYRI 1
alot of the show bred whippets can make cracking workers. Quote Link to post
mally 832
Alot of the sooty sam bred dogs have Oakbark blood in them. Mine included. I'd sooner have show bred blood in them than racing blood. Show bred dogs in my experience have far more stamina than the dogs with racing bloodlines. I bred a line bred sooty sam bred bitch to racing lines, unfortunately the bitch was stolen before she was really tried, however i did have my doubts on her stamina. Thats why i bred from a show bred dog to produce Vixen the bitch i'm running now. Her stamina is second to none. Quote Link to post
