Butters 0
Not exactly like your's but I have a Remmy 700 VSSF II in .204, same 26" barrel length & twist rate 1 in 12. It hates the 40's can't stabilize the bullet unable to better 3 inch group at 100yds. But it loves the 32's, 1 inch groups at 200 yds. Mike in my local gun shop told me to look out soon for the importers GMK bringing in the Federal 39gr 'blitz king' factory load, meant to stabilize better in rifles with a 1 in 12 barrel due to it not being a 'boat tail' bullet. I've found loads of good information for the .204 here My link hope this helps regards Mark Quote Link to post

SNAP SHOT 194
shoot the 40's at 250 or 300 and tell me the difference, you'll see they may be tumbling.... Not wanting to be negative or a put down, but good accuracy at 100 can change dramatically at 200 if the twist is borderline.... with the 32g i've seen crows explode at over 500 yards.... reloads.... but the factory ammo is of a good standard shooting 1/2" in the m77 my mate had...39g blitzkings are the mutts in it........ happy shooting.Snap. Deker 3,478
One thing that anyone who has, or had, one of these will tell you is they are very ammo fussy. If you find the right ammo, and quite often you will need to reload, you may well be happy. Otherwise yours will probably end up joining the frustrated owners in the for sale section! ATB!!
