What Did This???????

Recommended Posts

I was out the other day and came across this?

I just wondered if any of you guys and gals could enlighten me as to the culprit? I have half an idea but I'll keep that to me self till I see what you guys think,

And just to pre-empt the smart arses, the ferret finder is just for size comparison, :good:

Had exactly the same near me, if im right they are hawthorn berry seeds (think its hawthorn? ) Mine was earlier in the year and you could still see the red surrounding them.

I presumed it was either fox or Roe.

MOLL.

I got a private garden where the veg patch and just about everything else is being destroyed by rabbits so I got the permission. Went there yesterday and the owner has a large damson tree in the lawn which has been attracting a load of foxes to eat the fruit. She watched 3 of them one night so they def eat stuff like that. I'd say its probably fox.

VD, I never got a chance to see the photo, mate. I've not been able to get on line and it's gone now. But, yeppers, as said above; Foxes will eat fruit and shit pips.

Never let shit surprise ye, mate. I've found 'mustalid' shit round here, berry pips in it. And I believe the shittee was a Pine Marten! Make sense of that, if ye will?!

Personally, I suspect it had just eaten the bird that had eaten the berries ..... See? Think like that and you too can be a genius! :good:
