waidmann 105
idf you shoot from a car then a short barrel will be best( i don't think it get any better with lenght tbh, mine is 16"). you won't go far wrong with a cz bud.get the trigger sorted though, ground or kit fitted(grinding/polishing by a gunsmith costs about £35,trigger kits about £20.i would go for the professional job by the smith ) remington are around £5 for 100,winchester about the same for 50(i have used alot of remmy's in mine and they are fine. hope that helps, waidmann Quote Link to post
Urban Fox Control London 8
Have a look at the below link. This would be a great little number with a SAK moderator if you are off bunny bashing. http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews98032.html Well priced and you can do all sorts with them depending on you budget. andy s410c 61
Can't go wrong with the trusty CZ as said the trigger will need sorting as the creep can be bad.Trigger kits from Rimfire Magic are a doddle to fit & make the trigger spot on.As a workhorse on the rabbits a .22lr will do the business all day, most people use them out to 50-75yds max. Zero the gun in for 18yds & the gun will be spot on for up to 50yds.Mine prefers Winchester subs which cost £35 for 500(no doubt the price will have went up),Eleys are a good round which cost a couple of quid more,CCI rounds did'nt cycle properly in my Shilloutte however they did group well when they did cycle correctly. Deker 3,478
The CZ is a pretty good tool, you will not hear many complaints, and I am pretty happy, currently spread around my cabinets is this lot...the bottom one (wmr)has actually gone now but replaced with another CZAmerican WMR with a 19" barrel and SAK. Ammo prices from around £5 upwards, but expect £8-£10 generally (or more for the best) Quote Link to post

Colster 1
I have a 16" CZ452 Silhouette in .22LR, it cost me £340 from a local gun dealer just before Xmas (yes it was my Xmas pressie to myself). I pay £3.50 per box of 50 for Winchester Subs, little less for Remingtons (both of which work well in it). Range wise, I'd say 100-120 tops, I've hit bunnies at that but only when I knew how far they were (e.g. I'd just come through the gate, the rabbit was by a water trough that I'd previously ranged) but typically I'd say the bulk of mine are between 40- yards. Scope wise you don't need anything monster but personally I'd go for an AO scope, non AO scopes are set at either 30 or 100 yards, when your bread and butter shooting is at 60 that isn't a lot of good. I have a Simmons Whitetail Classic 6.5-20x50 on mine and it does the job fine, I have a Hawke Varmint II on my FAC Air which would do fine on the LR too. Quote Link to post
waidmann 105
simmons whitetail 3.5 - 10 x 50 on mine and no complaints you wont need to much magnification if shooting between close and 70yds.i zero mine at 50 yards bang on and have no trouble with that(50 yards 1/2 inch groups when i shoot straight, the rifle shoots better than i do i'm afraid ). if you walk around alot then think about a bipod with swivel, just be aware that you get more bouncers(ricochets) when shooting flat. you will find a bargain second hand(i paid 350 for a cz style with above scope and moderator.350 rounds. my brother paid about the same in 17 hmr cz american). havwe you looked at the mossberg plinkster? very cheap and cz action? i have seen them but not used one yet. waidmann Quote Link to post
