davyt63 1,845
hi buddy here ya go! Fitting 1. Remove the action from the stock. 2. Use white tape to mark the rough position of the studs, then a Biro to mark the exact position. 3. Check and Check again that the marks are central, and that there is enough wood at the fore end to take the stud I use calipers (curned dividers). 4.I held my stocks in a workmate suitably protected by cloths. 5. Drill a pilot hole in each position then the main holes through the tape (the instructions tell you the drill size........not got one..........buy one!) 6. Counter sink each hole slightly after removing the tape. 7. Screw the studs in turning by hand until they bite, I use a bradawl through the hole in the stud and turn slowly until its home and perpendicular to the stock then fit the swivel checking the studs are ok. Oh nearly forgot the lower the fore end swivel is fitted on the stock the higher the rifle sits on your shoulder (my preference .......but not everyones) Hope that helps regards davy Quote Link to post
