Hi anyone one know of any rifle clubs in the Shrewsbury area or is the best way to find out by calling BASC????

just behind pontesbury is "the bog" they have clays and rifle ranges and i presume a club of shooters for both.

yep i found the minsterly club but its a little steep for annual membership i thought!! £180 quid or something!!

Personally, I think that's cheap. I've never found a club that I've considered over priced. Compare it with golf (which is also a sport you need a lot of land for) and you will proably be spending several time that. Even a gym will cost you £35 a month or there abouts.

Having shot at minsterly i don't think it would be steep for regular use, there is a lot there including running boar range, gunshop is stocked with everything you need to reload on site etc etc. Have you been down and had a look? It all depends if you are a once a year down the range or every weekend punching holes in targets on the ranges kind of guy.

It would be a few time to set up my rifle and to look good when the Firearms officer comes around thats it! i would end up using it more to get the use out of it but i would want to use the time hunting!
