jimmy100 48
Im glad someone brought up Wenger.....for me he is ten times the manager mourinho is.... When judging a manager you have to take into account what he has to spend....mourinho spent 200 million at chelsea....i could have made chelsea champions with 200 mill in my sky rocket !...wenger has spent next to nothing and they have never been out the top 4...ok they havent won anything either but can you imagine the success wenger would have had with 200 million to spend ! Im no arsenal fan but they are in a great position for the future, very little debt,a brand new state of the art ground,a team on the verge of top honours.....and the best manager in english football for my money. I just hope my little west ham are still playing them next year wenger should stick to japanese football :clapper:!! classic fergie quote there but do you really think wenger is better than fergie??? Yes i think Wenger is a better manager than Ferguson or Mourinho....the trouble with having endless money to spend is it can disguise true quality as a manager.....as an example,i personally think David Moyes is probably the best manager in the premier league in recent years,Roy Hodgson also.....very little outlay for reasonably succesful teams playing good football..... I think Wenger has probably become bigger than Arsenal now as he clearly has money to spend but doesnt spend it,he is a chairmans dream !

gnasher16 30,279
Look at players like Anelka and Henry who Wenger bought for peanuts and sold for millions having turned them into great players, dont forget Henry went to Arsenal as a winger !.....thats a whole lot different to Mourinho or Ferguson buying already established superstars. Wenger is a man with high principals he wont just go out and spend money for the sake of it or to replace a player, its worth remembering arsenal have played virtually the whole season this year without their best striker Van Persie....Wenger didnt just go out and splash money to replace him like the others would have..... Im sounding like a closet Arsenal fan
