First of all, can you use correct Grammer? Your named should be changed to c*nt  You have me reading it and saying it like a caveman :icon_redface::laugh:

Do you mean correct grammar without a capital letter and spelt correctly? Also, you say "Your named should be changed.....", do you mean name (without the letter 'd' at the end)?

Should your name be changed to c*ntinghamb? :hmm:

Clint, if you have only recently bought the rifle, take it back if you are not happy with it ;)

Clint i have a Browning A-Bolt in .270 and dont find any problem when closing the bolt when chambering a round, you can remove the bolt when on opening up the chamber put pressure on the small long plate[2"long] at the opposite side of the of the bolt handle just above the trigger housing this releases the bolt, give the bolt and runner a clean out and try it again, best of luck, Wullie

hello, I no how to release bolt, this is good.thank you for the reply .

I wish to know ,how much pressure do you use to engage bolt in action? It is new rifle, I use to cz & enfield bolt action rifle, very easy. This bolt no engage when chambered with round, but with no round ,ok. will chamber with pressure on bolt.

Clint:

I have an A Bolt Medalion in .270, and have experienced the same problem once in while, mine was caused by reloading 'used' brass that had previously been fired in another rifle, the headspace was too long

from the other rifle's chamber, thats the length from the tapered shoulder of the 'bottleneck' to the flat base of the case.

In mine you could chamber the round but the bolt wouldn't 'shut' fully, jamming about halfway down.

Don't worry you can't fire it in this state!

By using fresh brass and fired cases from my rifle only this has not re-occured.
