does anyone feed their ferrets raw fish?

I have some raw trout in the freezer which has been in there some time so I dont fancy it, do you think I can give it to the ferrets? would they be ok with the bones?

Ferrets are fine with a bit of raw fish makes a nice change for mine mate

id say if u fillet it well the u needent worry about the bones, shud be gud for its coat too

Why fillet it they eat the guts and bones as well i only get a wee bit of the head left

as the man said, they will eat almost all of it bones and all. very good for the coat

I agree with the above. I havent fed fish to my ferrets before but i would if i had some spare! It cant do any harm.

i have a chest freezer full of mackerel for pike fishing,i think the ferts could be getting fish for dinner tomorrow.

I give mine fish mainly whiting we have a plague of the fooking things at the minute I keep the fillets for myself and the ferrets get the rest guts bones the lot and there is nothing left of them in the morning.

whiting good table fisg we dont get many up here but we get cod makrel and other types ferrets like abit fish , good for them mines in the seasonget fish once a week dogs the same sometimes twice aweek ,

didnt know u can give ferrets fish
