Mixed fish oil's do work but in warmer condition's i had some PREDATOR PLUS BLOOD SCENT on a bait the other day but didn't get a BITE,look for movement on the water and try allsort's DEAD'S/LIVEBAIT different depth's aswell i look for the HERON'S and other bird's mooching for fish on the water and sling a BAIT OUT by them and just wait, sometime's when ive been DEADBAITING i haven't had a bite and decide to move the bait and then as soon as i move the bait the pike strike's  ,try and talk to some of the older people who fish there aswell the might have some good spot's where to fish

All the best mate!

i read lately where a lot of pike fisher men are now using ground bait to lure the pike.

throwing loads of ground bait in to attract the shoal/fodder fish and in turn to attract the pike to the shoal thats where you have your dead/live bait waiting.

it seems to be doing the trick tho i have yet to try it

If it's clear water then use gold or silver lure's something thats really shiney and you can try dyed bait's aswell red, green, yellow, if it's colored water use bright colored lure's yellow, orange, one's that make plenty of vibaration when retrieving look for feature's in the water aswell under tree's around fallen tree's lily's anything were the PIKE can hide and attack from.

Get yourself some spinners and make sure you use them just before it gets dark

a good attractor i used once was to blend some fish in a food blender (i used sardines from Morrison's) and shape them into nuggets, and put some pebbles in them (to make them sink) and then freeze them. i then threw them into my swim at the start before they defrosted. it was an experiment but worked because i had a couple of fish but it was messy to make.

im off pike fishing on the weekend and my dad was wondering how could we attract the pike in. could we use fish oils or is there anything else we can use?

any lures will do but just keep trying different ones but if your ledgering dead baits try putting a big feeder instead of a ledger on and fill it will chopped up fish with all the guts and shit in it, ive had good results in the past with it, atb
