help with paint

right im in the middle of building a new hutch and run for my ferrets, i have used a few different types of wood and the misses is kicking off and wants me to paint it because it looks ugly lol. So what is a good ferret safe paint to use before i clear treat it.

 

oh and she wants it pink as a compromise to me getting a new dog

Ive always used a emulsion (silk) for insides, and a gloss outside if needed

I just give mine three coats of Dulux white exterior gloss, easy to wipe clean, brightens up the cages, and easy to repaint every Summer, and I've not had a ferret complain, maybe Dulux do a one coat pink gloss
