HI GUYS AM SERIOUS HERE IVE HAD LURCHERS FOR YEARS STOPED THEM AND GOT IN TO TERRIERS I BOUGHT 2 KC DOGS OUT OF THE BEST BREEDING AVAILABLE MY MATE GAVE ME A CHALLENGE HE SAID A KC DOG WONT GO DOWN A HOLE A SAID ITS THE WAY YOU BRING THEM UP .ANYWAY IVE TOOK IT EASY WITH THEM MY DOG LAKIE IS A GREAT MARKER ITS LIKE A BEAGLEITS SERIOUS .ITS HAD A RAG AT A FOX ECT OTHER DAY I TOOK HIM OUT FIRST HOLE STRAIGHT IN BANG IN TO A FOX AL TELL YOUSE SOMETHING HES A HARD BIT OF STUFF .THE BITCH I DIDNT HURRY ASWELL BITCH IS 16 MONTHS KC ASWELL STRAIGHT IN NO PROBS .SO IT JUST GOES TO SHOW YOU KC DOGS DO WORK AS I SAID .ALL IN THE UP BRINGING BOYS I ASSURE YOU. WOULD LIKE YOUR OPINIONS ON THIS GUYS 1 GUY SAID THERE NOT AS HARD AS THE WORKERS ???? TRUST ME THERE HARDY BUGGERS THEY WOULD FIGHT TO THE DEATH 100%.SO WHARE THEY GET THIS FROM A DONT NO .

I've seen KC Lakies in the field and even some working. It's not about whether they go down the holes, it's whether they stay down them that's important. I'm glad your terriers are showing signs of promise but from what you've said your dogs aren't blanket proof that KC Lakelands are workers, certainly not yet anyway. There's plenty of lads (and lasses) on here that have worked KC terriers from all the tribes, so you're certainly not on your own there. Best of luck with them and I hope your dogs continue to do all you want from them.

congratulation, cross fingers for your dogs, i ve got several FCI registed dogs and they work properly, but do not believe in such a bullshit it about how you raise them. why don t you train golf you can be Tiger Woods, or football you ll be next Ronaldino, basketball MJ,..... it s simple you can t be.

people from show rings, producer of pups like to say such a thing, its a crise time so they want to higher their chances of selling the pups.

hi lads iv seen photos of this lads dog and he got a good set up i got to no this lad as he got a terrier box off me and it seem to me that this lad nos alot about dog and working them keep it up weegunga you ball bag :thumbs:

Worker to worker is the only way to go to increase the chances of a sound gene pool producing a greater number of working pups, you will get dogs from KC stock that will work but the percentages are greatly reduced...........

i totally agree that the breeding is paramount to get the best possible chance of a solid worker.

why is it not possible to breed for looks and work?

i dearly hope that at least some kc reg breeders have not sold the breeds out and just gone for looks..........

are there any KNOWN kc breeders who work as well? there should be no problem in naming them as it can only do them good.

the names of breeders(kc) who have top class working dogs should be brought up so we can see them.
