I have been looking at Wildcat Predator 8's to fit on both ,but wanted to know if anyone else has used them ,if not what do you guys think would be the best choice? I have a Wildcat Predator 8 on my .270, it's very good, (the .270 is extremely loud un-moderated, to loud without earmuffs). In open ground the Wildcat kills the 'hard' noise totally, you can fire it without hearing protection for as many as you like, (i.e. until the barrel glows red hot!). The recoil is also tamed to the extent you don't lose the sight picture when you touch it off, this is NOT SO without the moderator on my rifle (Browning A Bolt Medalion). I advise you to use Wildcat's especially on your .308, you can probably get away with a 'lesser' i.e. smaller type on the .222 as these are nothing like as violent as the large calibres, which burn lots of powder. Also the Wildcat is totally strippable, and you can get all the 'bits' as spares, not the cheapest, not the pretty-est but in my opinion one of the best. AndyF. Quote Link to post

Deker 3,478
Still don't trust wildcats due to the blow up's that were swept under the carpet ! Apparently this was something to do with what could be termed the Mk1 Wildcat, apparently things have changed, allegidly the Hatsans have been modified as well, but I still wouldn't touch another, so I can see where you are coming from!
