end of my first trapping season

decided to give trapping a go this season and got me some conibear 160s, some sableoil and a shitload of honey.

the cb´s were treated with speed dip dye and every precaution was taken, i loaded the traps with new honey every three weeks throughout the season or so but no luck.

then, a month and a half ago, i decided to move the traps to a different area, and then i basically forgot about them.

trappingseason ends on monday so i went out today to take the traps down, and guess what:

 

 

a single pine marten was the catch this season, but i´m very happy none the less and looking forward to next season.

I would imagine that everything is much more spread out over there, including wildlife?

yes it is, but when you get to know the terrain and their habits it gets a bit easier.

have to have snow in order to know where to place the traps though.
