The pleasure in a dog walk

Took the dogs down the back of me this morning its a bit of a wood and a lot of whinneys, the saluki x and the labradoodle bob can jump the moon but little mags hasnt done much jump training so i thought i would see if i could get her over wire this morning. put the two big dogs over with her watching and then boom over it she goes cleared it by a foot no stopping her now, she is jumping for fun jumped a fence on the way back getting under a strand of electric fence which was a foot higher at the same time.

 

once into the whinneys the dogs went mental there are a few pheasant in there and a very few rabbits but they wore themselves dizzy crashing about good to see mags working the whinney with my golden bitch. The golden labradoodle is just a pet but she has the strongest prey drive of the lot a real bird dog and will face absolute any cover we have paid hundreds getting her stitched.

 

Top walk and training morning it does the soul good to be out on a morning like this

Couldn't say it better myself. Spent the whole day in Gisburn forest on Wednesday, nothing but sunshine, birdsong and the sound of the dogs running around. Absolutley brill. I do love Spring

it made my day it was gorgeous and a 4 happy mucky dogs at the end of it. they are all spread out on the lawn at the minute chilling

i wouldnt say mags is happy out of her depth in the water but she will run about in it quite happily. but then again with a dog like bob to learn from she will build up her confidence.

yeah bobs not scared of water is he lol. yeah got 2 on the lamp with him last week. good little course it was, i was more than happy with him. had much with mag yet?

Lovely to hear of a Labradoodle doing well. The prey drive will be from the Poodle side, all mine have had sky high prey drive.
