i think its due to the fact that newcomers who dont know alot about hunting belive hunting dogs need to be agressive to get the job done plus they look the part!! if i had a bullx or a colliex put inf

why do folk twine about bull xs all the time if you like them get one if you dont, dont get one, its that simple.

i have one with 1/4bull pup and not tested yet but if he is shite i will let you know and one with 1/8 bull she is full of stamina never ever blows i think they suit me for what i do but if i was to want a good rabbit dog i would not have one with bull as i dont think they have the stamina this is just my view of 90% of them ive been out with although moore has a bull x and its the only one ive seen do well with big numbers but it is a very racey one

Its all depends on the % off bull in your cross most bullx are bought or breed for terrier work or foxs on the lamp.

There nothing wrong with the bullx just like the wheaten x but l like till see a bit off saulk in there make up as well so yea have a bit off everything.

A good bull x saulk x greyhound cross will make a good allrounder in my eyes but thats just me.

But must say this most dogs that are up for sell are bull cross why is that???? (just asking ) Is it because there where showed big game 2 young and jacked or just ppl have brought them up wrong.

My 2 mates have bull cross 1 is 5/8 and the other a 1/2 dog the half dog is a great lamping dog and always gets into double figures and will take big game easy but no good on hare. The 5/8 is the most gameness dog l have every seen but would not catch yea big numbers on the lamp but a great dog doing cover with the hounds and keep up with the hounds all day.But every 1 will always think that the breed they keep is the best and thats the way it will always be.

am sure the bull cross is and has become popular as they were a very capable dog of dealing with a certain british mammal, there game and capable of taking punishment other crosses would turn there nose up at there is only 2 crosses ive seen that were any good sticking there heads into tubes to deal with quarry (pre ban) and do it week in week out and thats either a bull x or a wheaten x dont get me wrong ive seen other crosses do it but on a law of averages the bull cross was a safer bet, ive seen alot more crosses turn there nose up at larger quarry than i have seen bull crosses turn there nose up

Like i said before, a (bullxgreyx salukixgrey) must bring more wind [stamina]than just a straight greyhound, and alot of salukixs have good prey-drive. Maybe i am wrong, but you would think so with that extra bit of saluki in there. :hmm:
