While at the range...

Recommended Posts

This fella came and sat down about 18m from me. My rifle was already packed away so I took my friends new Hatsan Mod 70 that has been Tune & Lubed with Custom trigger and a Nikko Stirling 4x32AO AirKing Scope. Ready, Aim, Fire!

hehehhe

Cheers,

Roger!

Great shooting mate!

I don't know an awful lot about Hatsan's. I was seriously thinking of buying an AT44X-10 PCP, which seemed very reasonably priced for what you get, but was put off by the dealer who wasn't that enthusiastic about them.

I've read some UK reviews and it seems the jury is still out.

How do the PCP's stack up in your opinion?

Thanks

James

Nice going Roger :clapper:

Looks to be somewhat smaller than our Woodies with the scale of the rifle (mod70 barrel is 17 1/2 inches). More like the size of a large ferral over here. It seems to be quite a chunky bird around its girth.

Do you guy's or should I say CAN you eat them Roger?

Woodies in this area are blooming HUGE going on to 20+ inches nose to tail :icon_eek:

I love the patch around its eye suppose thats to help scare off predetors?

Again nice going

I was inspired by your pic roger

So I went out this afternoon specifically to hunt down and pop a pigeon. Well a Woodie to be precise.

I know where the monsters I mentioned in my previous post hang out, so figured I'd try my luck and grab me one

I couldn't get within 60 yards of the buggers :icon_redface:.

The most cover I have on my permission at the moment is some very large Mole Hills.

What wound me up the most though, was the fact that as I walk to my paddock permission along the road, there were two of the bloody things, having it off on top of a street lamp right outside the cricket club building which is only meters outside the paddock boundry :censored: :censored: :censored:

As there were workmen at the cricket club I just daren't risk it

Why can't the randy sods do their humping in the cemetery or the paddock? I would have let it finish first NOT

Yes they are good to eat. We only take the breast part of a few pigeons and make a pot with veggies with it.

Roger!
