i just got the countrymans weekly its full of shit again there ment 2 be with us and now they want help with inquries about poaching deer. i some times think the people who wright it are anties.

The cuntmans weekly is a waste of trees imo... never really been a lurcher/terrier man orientated weekly... get the EDRD.. its miles better... although that seems to be about bigging up certain people just lately... atb stabba

Totally agree edrd is only as good as the articles that are sent in, used to get it but like the countryman's weekly ,angling times ,anglers mail, pike and predator and how to keep your donkey happy you get the feeling you,have read it before

The countrymans weekly is now only a gloryfied ad mag for shows and sales of dogs and hunting gear the rise in popularity of the internet will IMHO see the end eventually of mags like this as well as our daily newspapers maybe not in our lifetime but in the distant future

to be fair to the writers in there other than ratting or ferreting their hands are tied i was talking to one of them a fornight ago and they had had a brilliant day with the dogs but nothing that you could write about in a magazine in todays climate without a lawsuit coming down on you but i still think the magazinr is rubbish and basically a ad mag for companies selling their goods but in fairness most sporting or feildsports mags are the same no matter what countrysport your into .

I am sure some people will have something to say about this, but I like the Field, because of the wide variety of different articles, although its true to say that I have not seen any articles on terriers or lurchers lately....and its not weekly......but in time I am sure you will articles about those dogs, especially if the ban ever gets lifted.

There is a limited amout you can write about ratting/rabbiting and ferreting though week in and week out. Pre-ban CMW was like hunting itself....MUCH BETTER!!!

Don,t buy it myself anymore i used to buy the shooting times when fred j taylor did is articles when i was a kid ,they stimulated me his tales about ferreting and longnetting and the monster pike he used to catch 30 odd years on and i do all them things it must be difficult writting about the same, i would like to think that the young kids of today cant wait for the countrymans weekly to come on a thursday its not all about digging holes and catching 5 hares

is he still about fred taylor i used to love his telly apperance on the country program

No he died a few years ago ,i spoke to him at the CLA game fair ,he was i think the only voice about ferreting netting and lamping about at the time ,

You can write about anything you want as long as you are not inciting others to break the law and all the hunting was in the past tense. No way would you ever get a law suit , it just wouldnt happen.

i used to buy it reguarly up until a couple of years ago, now its just full of shit and adverts . the so called advice given in the articles to lurcher and terrier men is an insult to people who reguarly work there dogs, what a load of bollocks.... can t really say anymore about it.. carry on hunting people and f--k the ban.
