tomburras 2,730
hi all, does anyone have any experience using the hushpower 9 inch moderator (not full lentgh) on a single barrel .410? i am thinking of getting one for lamping but don't know how effective they are. thanks tom. theinvisiblescarecrow 0
410's have tight chokes normally & not a very long range, probably better off with a good air rifle. If the rabbit is moveing you'r not much better off with a 410 due to the choke & low pellet count. They are good within there limits though. Quote Link to post
Daveo 61
I had a 9" mod fitted to a baikal .410. the noise reduction was o.k with 2" and 2 1/2" carts but with 3" it was loud even with subs.it made the gun really long aswell, but did improve the balance. I swapped it for a fully modded pedretti. And thats bang on, I have shot all sorts with it. If you have the money go for a fully modded gun if not the 9" mods are worth a try. Quote Link to post
tomburras 2,730
thank you i have purchased the Baikal single .410 today already, the fully moderated one is out of my budget so think i will try the 9 inch moderator Quote Link to post

slingshot 0
If you had looked around you would have found a hushpower pedretti 410 from between £100 to £200 ,far easier to shoot than a 410 with a 9" moderater stuck on the end. tomburras 2,730
He should of ask before he bought and he may of save some money and got a better tool for the job i have used these indistructable single barrel .410 baikals consistently past 30 yards before with full choke and really like them, and the reason i didnt look around or ask is because i returned a faulty gun i just baught and exchanged it for a brand new wooden stock baikal single .410 so had to choose a gun from the shop, hence the question about the moderator not the gun.
