these dogs already exist so nobody is trying to replace the bull/greyhound, no one would want to theres just no need, but if you wanted a smaller bullx surely this is the dog for you,

not a bull dog mate, a bull terrier, pit staff or english, a lad i know has a half cross wich he is breeding i am garunteed a pup, but just want to know peoples views on em

what is your mate crossing to another half cross or a whippet had a 3/4 bred dog many years ago and was probably one of the best i ever owned and became very well known in local area still get asked about him when i go home and and it is nearly 30 years ago

he isnt sure yet mate he thinks probly another half cross but i have said to use a full whippet to get the quater bred, but its his dog and up to him at the end of the day, if he could get a 1/4 bred sire that would be better in my eyes,

and what if u still wanted to go smaller after that, with the ban and everything you would surely look less suspect with a small dog than a big 26 inch bullx, at the end of the day i asked opinions and youve said yours so theres no point in yapping on me trying to find the pros and you stating the cons, there will be people that want a smaller bullx than "the smallest firstx" and for those folk this is the option,

i have whippet x bull whippet he stands at 22 in and for what i do ferreting and lamping he is spot on no trouble at all with other dogs as i have a collie grey and they are both fine together on and off the field

Sounds good to me. How would you rate him next to a first cross bull/grey? Generally speakin anyhow.

In my opinion a bullxgreyhound would be much more versatile and useful. I see no reason to cross a whippet with a bulldog but thats just me. Would be way too slow to suit me for sure.

Slow My mate as a 1st x and slow would never be a word i'd use about it!imo i think a lot of people that haven't seen this cross would be pleasently surprised...John

if it was a pb to a good sized grew and not a staffy to a kc whippet then it might be worth the chance but like stabba says the bull grey ticks all the boxes so why look elsewhere

You will be hard pushed to find a breed better then bullxgrey when it comes to vermin they just have it in there head to do the job and do it right if you no what a mean

 

and my dog ant got what they have (the minerals) not saying whippet x bulls ant its just my dog as you no every dog is different but i also think its what you put in to the dog as i dint give him the opportunity to take quarry other than rabbit and the odd feather

i think that would defy the point in using the bull, im guessing there being bred to retrieve shot foxes and i think they would probably be ok for that but another type of quarry in the uk i think they would struggle so i would say that is a massive con atb jamie

Some folks ideas of fast and my idea of fast aint got shit to do with one another. I now for a fact that you couldnt breed any whippet in the entire world to any bulldog in the entire world and convince me they were fast. Thats a joke right?
