hi just wonderin if anyone have broke into a hole wile out ferretin and put there arm down the hole and grabed somthing thats not the ferret or rabbit i dug to a hedgehog once bolted rats stoats and saw a snake go to ground once aswell so just curiouss what people have grabed down the holes atb flinty

I very rarely just ram my hand up a stop end, f**k knows whats up there! lol. I usually probe it a bit with a stick first just to make sure. Seen stoats, rats, mice, snakes and feral ferrets while out ferreting so im always concious.

Never thought about it much until now. I've bolted rats, foxes, stoats, weasels and only once a little owl, seen snakes go into a bury and also seen a hedgehog in a bury . You bloody lot have got me worried now !

I've bolted a few different things but only wrong thing i've grabbed was a hedgehog and I don't reccomend it.

Im always putting my arm into the tube, but luckily ive found just the ferret or rabbit but ive bolted stoats and foxes. Ive come accross some angry wasp nests, as i also ferret gardens etc through the summer.

dug down to a jill when i was a lad,on a golf course,kent coast and found someones old ww2 cap badge,some sort of gunner i think,also loads empty cases not sure of the size,who needs a metal detector

i have dug to a fox befor with a ferret but ferret was dead when i got it out as for the fox that diddnt last long after it took half an our to get it out of the set
