weasle 1,119
I would of thought it would be silly to use the same tatics, that didnt work in britain, despite them being able to bring much bigger numbers,Trying to win public opinion, even if you win that war, they wont care enough to make it there issue. There is no reasoning with a anti they dont want animals killed full stop. I would have thought the only way to stop politicans is to show them that your not going to roll over and play ball. If i was looking for a country to show how to make a point i would look at french, were people seem able to get laws changed or passed by showing people who THEY VOTED FOR that they need to be listend to.There again im not irish so what would i know. wexford Pa 84
I have to say fair play to all who turned out today, it was amazin to see people from all corners of Ireland travel so show their support.. Everyone that showed there today should be proud and i think we voiced our opinion loudly, i dont think it'l fall on deaf ears.. The Green Party are flounderin party and are in decline of support they dont need majority opinion goin against them.. Stand tall everyone and dont budge an inch against this farce of legislation, its only opening corridors to a complete hunting ban.. ITS OUR SPORT, PROTECT IT.. ..... JohnGalway 1,043
What was the plan behind the march, or, was the march the plan? Sorry, I should rephrase that. What were the specific goals behind the march. Edited March 28, 2010 by JohnGalway

What were the specific goals behind the march. personally john i was there to show my support for rural ireland and anyone involved in hunting and fishing .I do not agree with the green partys anti hunting policies and obviously the thousands of other protesters dont either .heres a link john if you want to know more .http://www.risecampaign.ie/
