cameroncharles 2
Hi folks, just wondered if anyone had put together a guide for the s400 strip/clean procedure? Just don't want to muck anything up and any useful advice would be great. Also gonna start puting up pic's of nights out! Thanks folks Cam Quote Link to post
Phantom 631
You can buy the AA strip and cleaning guide on DVD for a couple of quid on eBay I got the S200 one from there You could also ask RiffRaff for advice as he can do the 400's with his eyes closed (did it out in the field while shooting a comp last year!) aaronpigeonplucker 32
under the stock there is a bolt next to the pressure gauge. undo this with an allen key, DO NOT LOSE THE WASHER! the stock should sperate from the action ok. then get a rag with a few drops of gun oil and give it a good clean down. now it important that you don't leave any fingerprints on the cylinder where it will be covered by the stock as any grease or sweat in on your fingers will cause rust. put the stock and action back together again and give it another wipe down with the rag this is what i do after every session. hope this helps. jackinbox99 41
Having stripped and rebuilt my s410 with new seals last year I have to say its a very easy job. Unless your s400 has anti tamper bolts in which case you wont be able to easily take it apart. From memory, through googling i found a guide on youtube which showed how to take it all appart. You basically just need a few allen keys. Quote Link to post
